Over the years I have accumulated piles of tools which have formed a sediment in my wheely tool box. It’s like that with bikes as technologies change; you just seem to accumulate stuff. Well, I’ve long been meaning to clear it all out (so I can actually go straight to the useful stuff, as opposed to trawling through crank removers, BB tools etc etc…)
Well, I’ve recently had the incentive to spring clean and tidy up. I am now a Lezyne ambassador, through distributor upgrade bikes (www.upgradebikes.co.uk). This is definitely a good thing, and here are just a few reasons why:
I now have full sets of high quality alan and torx keys. As opposed to half sets with the 5mm one continually AWOL. The Port a Shop is also a perfect tool kit for races or travel; it contains pretty much everything you need for most repairs and adjustments in a small easy to carry soft case.
Tyre inflation is going to be so much smoother as I have pumps for every job; high pressure Alloy Floor Drive for the road (with fancy electronic display). For mtb I will be using the excellent Dirt Floor Drive, which pushes a high air volume for seating and inflating tubeless tyres.
There is also a wide range of mini pumps and I’ve gone for the mtb Guage Drive HV (with pen guage pressure scale) and the small but powerful Road Drive. Along with SV 11 multi tools and numerous organisers and caddies everything I need can be stored neatly when riding.
Those are just a few highlights from the wide selection of beautifully designed tools and storage solutions that Lezyne have provided me with. I am very grateful for this support; the day to to day stuff that a regular cyclist, racer, and mechanic needs and relies on.
Also, keep an eye open for the recently unveilled range of Lezyne GPS computers. It looks like these could be a real challenge to Garmin dominance at a more wallet friendly price point.
